How Dhamana Escrow Works

Your money is held safely until the deal is done. No payments go straight to a seller. Every order flows through Dhamana escrow, so both sides are protected.

Buyers

  1. Shop verified sellers

    Browse listings and look for the verified badge. Every seller is vetted with shop details, documents, and payout info before they can list.

  2. Pay into escrow

    You pay for the item, but the seller doesn't get the money yet. Dhamana holds your funds securely.

  3. Seller fulfills your order

    The seller ships your item within the agreed window.

  4. Inspect, then confirm delivery

    Once the item is in your hands and it's what you paid for, confirm delivery. Only then do we release the funds to the seller.

  5. You're auto-protected

    If the seller never fulfills, you're refunded automatically. If you're unreachable after delivery, funds release after 7 days. You get an in-app notification at every step.

Sellers

  1. Get verified

    Submit your shop details, documents, and payout info. Once approved, you get a verified badge buyers trust.

  2. List your products

    Add photos, price, and condition. Your listings are visible to Lagos buyers ready to spend on phones and electronics.

  3. Fulfill with confidence

    The buyer's funds are already secured in escrow before you ship.

  4. Get paid on confirmation

    When the buyer confirms delivery, funds release to your payout account. No buyer action? Funds auto-release after 7 days.

Before a shop goes live

How We Verify Sellers

Every seller sends us their documents before they can trade. We screen that package automatically, then a person reads it. Both steps have to pass.

1. The package is checked

Storefront photo, CAC business registration, government photo ID, bank payout details and signed escrow terms. Anything missing and the shop cannot go live.

2. The documents are read

We automatically read the ID and CAC certificate for an expired ID or a name that does not match the business. Anything odd is raised before a human looks.

3. A person makes the call

Nothing is ever approved automatically. Our team reads every package themselves, so the Verified badge always means a real person checked this shop.

What the screening can say

These are the three results our reviewers see. None of them approves a shop on its own — they only show a reviewer where to look first.

    The seller sees funds confirmed, books a vetted courier in one tap and shares live tracking from the order screen.

    Delivery is verified

    Courier scans and delivery photos are attached to the order automatically, so the timeline speaks for itself.

    Money is released

    The buyer confirms — or the inspection window closes — and the seller is paid out instantly. Disputes freeze the funds until resolved.
